When your body changes, your strategy should evolve.
You may be eating carefully, exercising consistently and still wondering why you feel exhausted, uncomfortable or disconnected from your body. Let’s look at the patterns together.

Recognize your patterns
Energy that fades too soon
Afternoon crashes, restless nights or the feeling that you are always running on empty.
Digestion that feels unpredictable
Bloating after meals, digestive discomfort or uncertainty about what to eat.
Strength and body changes
Less muscle, stubborn body fat or a routine that no longer supports your goals.
Too much to carry
Work, family and stress leaving little room for the habits that help you feel well.
Connect the dots. Rebuild your strength & energy.

Food is our first medicine. Strength is a practice. Sustainable change is a skill.
I know what it means to feel exhausted and keep going.
I’m Dr. Stefanie Basso. Years of living with Crohn’s disease, a hormonal crash and the demands of single motherhood taught me how exhausting it can feel to keep searching for answers.
My experience includes 2,000 clinical hours at a human movement and performance institute known as California’s first “Movement Hospital.” I bring 15+ years as a university kinesiology lecturer and 25+ years in personal training and sports nutrition.
Today, I connect functional nutrition, progressive strength training and behavior coaching to help midlife women build capacity, confidence and habits they can sustain. Your history deserves to be heard. Your plan should fit the life you actually live.

Your questions, answered.
Who is this coaching for?
My practice focuses on midlife women who want personalized support with nutrition, strength, recovery and sustainable behavior change. We begin by discussing your goals, health history and whether coaching is an appropriate fit.
Do I have to complete laboratory testing?
Testing is considered when it is appropriate to your situation. We can begin by reviewing your history and any relevant results you already have. Recommended tests, ordering arrangements and separate fees are discussed before you proceed.
Can we work together virtually?
Yes. Coaching is available virtually and in person at my San Diego practice. We will confirm the format that fits your program and circumstances.
Will I have to follow a restrictive diet?
Your plan is individualized. We focus on adequate nourishment, practical food choices and strategies you can use consistently. Any suggested adjustments should have a clear purpose and be reviewed as your needs change.
What if I travel or my routine changes?
Those situations are valuable opportunities to practice. Dr. Stefanie encourages coaching through travel and changes in routine so you can build confidence applying your skills in real life. One program pause is available for an unexpected emergency under your service agreement.
Is coaching a substitute for medical care?
No. These services provide nutrition, fitness and lifestyle education and coaching. They do not diagnose, treat or cure disease and do not replace care from a licensed medical clinician.
Your next chapter can feel stronger.
You do not need every answer before you begin. Let’s talk about what you are experiencing, what you want to change and the support that could help you move forward.
